In the spring/summer of 2011 I bricked (destroyed) my first Smartphone a Motorola Milestone. Tonight I bricked my second Smartphone (LG Optimus). How? Umm it jumped out of my shirt pocket and went swimming in the toilet * bowl. No, I am not kidding
Oh well!
However, there is at least one good thing this time. This time I have handset insurance – YES
and two I have been giving serious consideration to upgrading again. Why? Well for two reasons (a) there is no flash for night photography on the LG Optimus and (b) the onboard memory is ridiculously small!!!
* yes it was in use

I just put in a device replacement claim against my paid ($7/mth) protection plan. They want more than I paid for the phone originally!!!

Ronalynn says:
John, I can hardly believe you have done it again!!! Is your cell completely ruined and unusable?? Horrors!!
John says:
I’m not 100% sure yet. It powers up, receives bother emails and text messages, plus Score Mobile updates but it won’t unlock at least so far. Seems that the only moisture present is a little in the LCD screen.
Jack says:
Now I seem to remember warning you about those telephone eating toilet bowls. I assu….no that won’t work… I hope you recovered it and dried it out with rice? BTW throw the rice out.
John says:
Had rice with supper tonight … very yummy.
Jack says:
Nice VERY nice.
Jack says:
So put it in a baggie and fill it with rice leave it for 48 hours and I bet it will work with no issues.
John says:
Ok Jack, will give this a whirl starting in the next 5 mins or so. After all I just got about 20 mins ago! What a lovely luxurious sleep in today ….. prrrrr
