Facts:
- I was a public service for 23 yrs.
- I was at one time a union shop steward.
- I was a manager at one time.
- I’ve seen both sides of the discussion.
Let me state outright here and now that I do NOT believe Public Servants should have the right to strike. Neither do I believe certain other professionals i.e.: ambulance staff, doctors, nurses, police, fire people etc.
No union should have the power as to disrupt basic services, some might call essential, to the people you serve. Canadians should be able to rely upon these services. Frankly, in many cases unions have seen their day. And the Canadian government could have avoided “strikes” for the most part by simply tying the rate of pay to the cost of living index. If an employee needs/wants to earn more than let them train for a better position/job, compete for it and then move on to the new job.
Public servants should get it through their heads that it does matter a fig what the other guy gets … what matters is that you accepted the position/salary and benefits that go with your position. So long as your salary keeps pace with a realistic cost of living index you are not entitled in my opinion to strike.
In my time in the Public Service it was very difficult to fire someone. Well the employer has rights as well, if an employee is not doing the job, is grossly insubordinate, engages in a criminal act, etc. they should expect to be fired on the spot. If they can prove wrongful firing then there are processes in place to seek.
Likewise, the Government, has to ensure that the cost of living index is accurate.

Hello Web Admin, I noticed that your On-Page SEO is not that great, for one you do not use all three H tags in your post, also I notice that you are not using bold or italics properly in your SEO optimization. On-Page SEO means more now than ever since the new Google update: Panda. No longer are backlinks and simply pinging or sending out a RSS feed the key to getting Google PageRank or Alexa Rankings, You now NEED On-Page SEO. So what is good On-Page SEO?First your keyword must appear in the title. Then it must appear in the URL.You have to optimize your keyword and make sure that it has a nice keyword density of 3-5% in your article with relevant LSI (Latent Semantic Indexing). Then you should spread all H1,H2,H3 tags in your article.Your Keyword should appear in your first paragraph and in the last sentence of the page. You should have relevant usage of Bold and italics of your keyword. There should be one internal link to a page on your blog and you should have one image with an alt tag that has your keyword….wait there’s even more Now what if i told you there was a simple WordPress plugin that does all the On-Page SEO, and automatically for you? That’s right AUTOMATICALLY, just watch this 4minute video for more information at. WordPress Seo Plugin

I was just looking for this info for some time. After six hours of continuous Googleing, finally I got it in your website. I wonder what is the Google’s issue that does not rank this kind of informative web sites closer to the top. Generally the top sites are full of garbage.
